      Length (5+ sentences) 6 /10 – only wrote 3 sentences
      Grammar, punctuation & clarity 10/10
Comments: Jason, please write at the bottom which were the vocabulary words you selected. From what I can see, you only used the word: naïve and delete

In your paragraph you had to pretend that you went on a date with a friend and it did not go well. You did not follow the instructions and instead just wrote about your thoughts on dating. You also only wrote 3 sentences when it should have been 5. Next time, also be careful with capital letters. Grade: 79%

  3. *Impartial* judgement must always be the most *integral* part of our decision making process.
We should never judge people based on their race, beliefs or any other personal preference. Sometimes reality is not always what seems to be. Therefor the most *legitimate* principle of judgment is to stay neutral and truthful in every situation. (Rola)

  4. All of us at 1 time or another have been on a really bad date.we might have found something attractive about the person.
I went on a date with a guy where I observed him with bad manners, horrible hygiene and lot of disrespect for people who were serving.
I don’t want to address him by his name but a man with illmanners. He dint even ate his food properly spilling all over his plate. Even he used 4-5 napkins which according to me is not a table manners. Even the way he called the waiters was not respectful, giving them good amount of tip doesnt make him a good behaved human being. For me it was a bad date night as according to me a person who first thinks and respect the other person is a wonderful human being to live with.

      Comments:
Tarana, please write at the bottom which vocabulary words you have used. I didn’t see that you used any of the vocabulary words.
      Grammar issues:
      - Symbols and abbreviations are not needed for this assignment, so do not use “1”. Instead, just write “one”.
      - Start new sentences with a capital letter
      - The sentence “He didn’t even ATE his food properly” should have the word “eat” instead. This is because the past tense is already stated in the past verb “did”.
      - Comma splice between “respectful” and “giving”. This is when you use a comma instead of a period. Grade: 59%

  5. Dear Diary,

Today marked my first date with someone I met online, and it turned out to be quite the disappointment in more ways than one.

We had chosen a charming little café for our rendezvous. Unfortunately, not even the food could save the day. The coffee was lukewarm, and my sandwich was tasteless. It felt like even the menu conspired against me on this ill-fated date.

As we struggled through awkward conversation, I couldn't help but wonder if the food was a reflection of how the date was going bland and unsatisfying.

Despite the culinary letdown, the real issue was the lack of connection and respect in our interaction. She seemed disinterested, checked her phone constantly, and made inappropriate comments that made me feel uneasy

To make matters worse, she suddenly announced her departure, claiming she had other plans. At that moment, I realized I was just as eager for her to leave as she was to go.

Though it wasn't the most memorable dining experience.

  6. Last night, I wrote a diary entry about a bad first date with Vanessa. It was a legitimate disaster. I was naive to ignore the overt signs of trouble. Vanessa's lack of integrity was evident as she spoke about her ex-boyfriend, trying to undermine our conversation. Her behavior was a menace, and I decided not to delete this entry. Instead, I used it as a way to reflect on maintaining my morale and not being too lenient in dating situations, even with impartial partners.

    Used words: 1) legitimate; 2) naive; 3) overt; 4) integrity; 5) ex; 6) undermine; 7) menace; 8) delete; 9) morale; 10) lenient; 11) impartial;

  7. I had been looking forward to meeting Jake for a long time. He seemed like a nice guy, with a good sense of humor and a lot of integrity. He also said he was a lawyer, which made me think he was legitimate and successful. But when I saw him, I was shocked. He was overt and rude. I tried to be polite and impartial, but I was losing my patience. I wanted to delete him from my life. I felt no attraction or connection to him. He had lied me and undermined my trust. He had no moral or respect for me.

    Used words:1)integrity; 2)legitimate;3)overt;4)impartial;5)delete;6)undermine;7)moral.

People were smoking and drinking inside the cafe that was weird for me. After that we discussed about ourselves to each other. I feel that person have very overt personality that shows his life style is so rich, but I am not sure about that person that we go in a relationship in future or not, so I delete him from my friend list.

      Comments:
      Hey Safina,
Thank you for completing your work. There were some errors in the words your used:
      - “Menace” does mean danger, but your sentence used it as a noun when it should have used it as an adjective to describe the environment. You would have needed to use “menacing” instead.
      - “Overt” is not used to describe a personality. You cannot say “he has a very overt personality”. You can however say “his angry personality was overt”
You also had some grammar errors:
      - The last sentence was really long and difficult to follow
      - You used the present form of the verb “delete”, when it should be “deleted” as this was something done in the past. Grade: 80%

  9. Naive Integrity delete

I chatted with a stranger online. He told me he is a Tall-Rich-Handsome guy. I told him my dreams, he told me his history. We both believe that we should be integrity. We were getting closer. We decided to meet. We went to a restaurant. Our secret signal is holding a book. I came earlier. I saw a Short and Bad-looking guy holding a book walking in. Oh! I am so naive. I shouldn’t believe any strangers online. I threw away my book and ran away from that restaurant. I deleted all our chatting records on my way home.

      Comments:
      Hi Shabana!
I am happy to see you using more than the minimum 3 vocabulary words that were required. Here are the errors regarding the vocabulary words:
      - For “overt”, you should have used the adverb form of the word to fit your sentence better: “overtly”.
      - “Naïve” was not used properly. It is an adjective. In your sentence, there is no noun next to it for it to work as an adjective.
      - “Integrity” is something that people have. It was not used properly in your paragraph.
      As for grammar errors:
-The first sentence is unclear. The word “done” does not belong there and is making the whole sentence confusing.
      - Comma missing after the word “attention” in the 4th sentence. This is to separate the introductory clause from the rest of the sentence.
-Missing comma before the word “but” in the 5th sentence to form a compound sentence.
-“My morale was hurt” should be its own sentence. Grade: 97%

  11. Dear diary

I experienced a rather unpleasant and unforgettable first date that tested my commitment to personal integrity and moral values.

From the very beginning, it was evident that this date lacked the legitimacy and sincerity I had hoped for. The overt attempts to impress with flashy stories and insincere compliments were disheartening. It became clear that this person's intentions were to undermine any real connection by putting on a facade.

Throughout the evening, I tried to remain impartial, giving them the benefit of the doubt, hoping that perhaps their behavior was just nerves. However, as the night wore on, it became apparent that their actions were far from genuine. It felt like they were trying to delete any possibility of a real connection with their insincerity.

In the end, I couldn't help but feel disappointed by the lack of moral integrity displayed during this date. It reminded me of the importance of honesty, authenticity, and respect in any relationship. While this first date may not have gone as I had hoped, it served as a strong reminder of the values I hold dear and the type of connection I am truly seeking.

Here's to hoping for more meaningful and genuine encounters in the future.

  12. I’m writing this diary after my first date. I went on this bad first date and I just had to write about it in my diary. It was with this person I met online, and from the start, there was an overt sense of discomfort. He seemed nice at first, but as the date went on, I started feeling a bit of a menace in his behaviour. He was constantly checking his phone and seemed disinterested in our conversation. It really affected my morale and made me question if I should be more lenient or just call it off. In the end, I realized that it's important to trust my instincts and not settle for anything less than I deserve.
